Early Outreach

When parents learn that their newborn or expected child has an intellectual disability, they often are faced with concern and confusion. Our culture of inclusion extends to all families with younger children. Our early outreach activities include:

• Linking families of a child with an intellectual disability with Special Olympics families through the Family Support network.
  
• Encouraging families to volunteer and support development of Special Olympics programs in their local communities.
  
• Share resources and resource links with new families.
